Awesome Kid’s Birthday Party Themes

Nobody wants to have a boring birthday party. When you’re a kid, that’s especially true. How can you make your kid’s next birthday party truly special? By centering it around a theme that interests them. We’ve compiled a list of super fun and unique themes that you can use to elevate your next party. When you’re looking for an awesome location that will make a birthday party feel really special, check out Rebounderz Trampoline Park here in Rohnert Park. We’ve got plenty of space, safe trampolines, and a super cool Ninja Warrior course that everyone is sure to enjoy.

-Superheroes

With all of the fantastic comic book movies that have come out this year, it’s only natural for kids to want in on the derring-do and adventuring. Have guests dress up as their favorite superhero (or supervillain, if they’re so inclined). Create a little adventure or mystery for them to uncover, like “Who stole the cookies?!” or “Rescue the Commissioner.” If you have one (or all) of the parents play the role of the baddies, it’s a great way to be involved in the festivities while being able to monitor behavior. Party stores have a ton of accessories and decorations to bring everything together. Have a group craft activity where everyone designs and explains their own personal superhero. There are so many possibilities here!

-Medieval Royalty

Maybe your little Prince or Princess is more of the royal type. You can plan a fun dinner for all of the visiting Dukes and Duchesses, have a parent dressed as a Court Jester, and have games, like ‘Pin the Tail on the Horse’ or safe sword fights or jousts with foam weapons. The jousts can take on a whole other dimension when you add in a hobby horse the jousters have to ‘ride’ while they play. You can dial this all down to a simplified Princess Tea Party, too. It all depends on the size of the party and the level of activity your kids like to have. You can also have them draw their dream castle or dragon as a keepsake of the day.

-Witches and Wizards

Maybe your little one is fascinated by the magical exploits of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. Wizard robes and wands can be fashioned or found pretty easily. Serve up some homemade (non-alcoholic) Butterbeer, add in strange and fun candy, and tie it all up with a little lesson on how to do a magic trick (many tutorials are available on YouTube and make tricks very easy to understand and do on your own). Get some old brooms, six hula hoops, and a few soft balls to start your very own game of Quidditch! You can even have some fun with the invites, with the sorting hat making the announcement of the invitation.

-Birthdays! In! Space!

Whether it’s based on Star Wars, Star Trek, or regular old real space, this is a wide-reaching and malleable theme that you can do a lot with. A group project focused on sharing their favorite character or planet is a great opportunity to add crafts to the mix. The space theme also works incredibly well when you have access to Laser Tag, as the kids can pretend they’re spacefaring adventurers, like Flash Gordon and Samus Aran. Depending on the time of night, the temperature outside, and the light pollution in your area, you can have some fun with a telescope looking at the various constellations in the sky. From there, everyone can do a drawing of their favorite and what they think it’s supposed to look like.

These are just a few of the many possible themes for your child’s next birthday party. See if any of these jump out to them and ask if there are any other ideas they might have that they would enjoy more. There’s no reason to have a plain birthday party. A great way to ensure your child’s next birthday party is one to remember is to have it right here at Rebounderz Trampoline Park in Rohnert Park. We’ve got tons of room for fun activities, obstacle courses, trampolines with basketball hoops for easy dunking, and much, much more. We want to take your child’s birthday party to the next level and put a spring in your step.
